PAT PEAKE – MBE

I am very pleased to mention that on 1st January 2012; Pat Peake’s name appeared in the London Gazette, New Year Honours List, which announced that she will be appointed as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her work in the community for bereaved people through The Healing Hearts Bereavement Support Group. This award will be presented to her by Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday 14th February 2012.

I am sure that you will agree that the continued commitment Pat has shown over the past twelve years, since she and Mary set the Group up, supporting so many people who like us have been devastated by loss, richly deserved this public recognition.

Pat is overwhelmed by this award and the knowledge that so many of the Group supported her to obtain it. She typically, is already thinking about how the inevitable interest from the local press will assist her and Mary in advertising their Support Group more, so that they can continue to offer support to many others who are in need.
